If so, you probably
don’t need us. Hollywood will produce just about anything
you scribble on paper.
If it’s not, however, your screenwriting career will rest
on the content in your script rather the audience appeal
of your name.
Every year hundreds of thousands of screenplays are written
and submitted to production studios and agencies all of the
country and the world. Of those, only about 400 are produced
with wide release. Many of those produced were written by
seasoned writers who have already proven that they can write
compelling stories audiences will pay to see. That leaves
little room for new screenwriting talent.
